Communicate

All mediation communication is confidential except when disclosure is required or permitted by law. Mediation is a voluntary and consensual process, allowing you to discuss the difficult issues before you and explore creative alternatives in a non-adversarial and non-coercive environment.  Additionally, I am neutral and impartial and will not take sides.

Collaborate

As your mediator, it is my responsibility to facilitate communication between you and the other party. Mediation encourages your willingness to come to the table with patience and an open mind.  I will be empathetic, listen actively to your concerns, ask thought provoking questions, and help you navigate your way to an amicable outcome. Separate meeting rooms are often requested and Magnolia Mediations will provide you with the privacy needed to make decisions that are in your best interest.

Resolve

Mediation can be a "win-win" situation for both parties.  A settlement can allow you to put the matter behind you so you can move on with your life.  I have mediated hundreds of cases of various types and many were materialized into settlement agreements signed by both parties. Many people prefer mediation because it can be more cost-effective than going to trial. It also gives you the control to make your own decisions while being creative instead of referring the matter to the Court for a Judge to have the final say.
